Siddhartha School

About This Project

The Siddhartha School was founded by Khen Rinpoche Lobzang Tsetan. At the time it was started, all enrolling students were illiterate. Today, all students study in four languages; Ladakhi, Hindi, English and Tibetan and the school produces some of the top students in the area. It also strives to preserve the threatened Tibetan culture. Set between the Himalayan and the Karakorum Mountain ranges, this area is incredibly isolated, still relatively untouched with a simple purity that is hard to miss. Learn more at their website and go visit before the rest of the world finds out about it.
