W.W.O.O.F. stands for Willing Workers on Organic Farms and it’s an international movement that allows travelers to get free room and board in exchange for some willing work on participating farms. In New Zealand, we stayed with four families, two on the North Island and two on the South Island. We chopped wood, weeded gardens, moved dirt, reframed doors and windows. We also climbed mountains, explored the beautiful countryside and got to meet some fantastic people along the way. If you’re interested, there is WWOOFing in just about every country on Earth so check it out.
